Hi, I’m Jackie! AKA Your Kid’s Favorite Therapist
Welcome! Let's get to know each other.

I believe therapy can
change your life.
It has definitely changed mine- as a client and as a provider.
About 20 years ago, I was where your child is today. I felt that my achievements were the only way to acceptably take up space and I had to be perfect and constantly striving for excellence. I was exhausted of being "on" all the time, and started getting heartburn (which I later discovered was really anxiety) in my early teen years. I had no medical issues, but my body was screaming at me. I was like a duck- projecting a cool girl demeanor on the outside and frantically paddling underneath the surface. After being busy all day with AP classes and sports and clubs, after I finally finished my homework, I only slept four hours because I couldn't wind down and relax. My planners were full and so was my head. I thought I could keep doing this through college, snagging a spot in the coveted STEM program and declaring myself Pre-Med until one rainy Jersey afternoon, my advisor laid out the next 8 years of my life and I realized it wasn't what I wanted.
Ever since that day, I've been pursuing passion over achievement and quit overachieving. I know what it's like to be an anxious, high-achieving teen because I’ve been there myself. As a former overachiever, I’ve walked the path of constantly striving for perfection, battling the fear of failure, and feeling like there’s never enough time to do everything “perfectly.”

How It works
My Approach
Therapy is meant to help your child grow. And sometimes growth can feel uncomfortable because the way we have been doing things has worked for so long- until it doesn't.
I'm not going to sugarcoat the hard things- I believe in transparency with compassion. No bullshit, but gentle. I will be alongside you and your child 100% of the way.
Almost everything your child and I discuss during session remains private and is protected by HIPAA except for a few things. As a mandated reported, your therapist is obligated to disclose if someone is at risk of hurting themselves, someone isles, or if there is a suspicion of abuse of a child/elder/vulnerable person. Other than those exceptions, everything else is confidential- unless I receive your child's express consent.
When your child tells me the thing they haven't said out loud, I'm not going to nod along while they talk themselves out of what they know.
While I give your child plenty of opportunities for choice and autonomy, we will leave every session with a plan so they know how to move forward.
We are all a team to support your child. I stay in close contact with parents throughout our work together and am always accessible to clients.

My Credentials
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and therapist who has helped hundreds of teens and their families in the same place as you are now. I am licensed in the State of Florida with plans to gain licensure in other states.
I earned my master's degree from New York University, where I learned not only the clinical tools to help others, but also developed a deep understanding of the pressure that high-achieving teens face in today’s fast-paced world. Throughout my career, I’ve worked with hundreds of teens, empowering them to face their fears, manage their stress, and overcome the challenges of perfectionism.
I’m especially passionate about using EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) to help teens process and heal from past trauma, anxiety, and emotional blocks. This cutting-edge approach allows us to target the root causes of your child's anxiety quickly and shift the way they respond to stress in the future.
